November 15, 2005

The Red Hot team would like to welcome their new crew member Hailey Rose Webster. She was born Tuesday the 15th of November at 6:51 pm. Hailey weighed in at 7lbs 1.5oz and measured 20 1/2 inches. Both mom and baby are home and doing terrific.

October 04, 2005

The Red Hot team claims the 2005 National High Point title! Special thanks goes out to Alan Lewis for taking the boat out to Seattle, Washington. The Silver Cloud Inns regatta at Lake Sammamish started Friday with Alan Lewis filling in for Mike Webster. Alan pulled in two heat victories. On Saturday driver Mike Webster stepped in and drove the boat to two more heat victories and got the team that much closer to another title. Sundays first qualifier was a success and the Red Hot team scored a victory. Unfortunately in the final the boat was unable to start, but the title had already been wrapped up and the Red Hot team went home victorious. The Webster family would like to extend congratulations and thanks to the Richards family for a great season and warm West Coast hospitality.

September 12, 2005

The weekend was a big success for the Red Hot team earning 395 points out of a possible 400 respectively. Tom Pakradooni took the drivers seat in the qualifier on Sunday taking a nice second place finish. The rest of the weekend was driven by Mike Webster winning the three other heats for the regatta. Special thanks to Dante Delesandro for the pictures and video from the race.

The second annual Ragin' on the River in Port Deposit, Maryland was held this Labor Day weekend. Saturday was blown out due to strong winds and rough water conditions. Sundays racing and water were both great for the Red Hot team. Driver Mike Webster raced to two first place finishes in the qualifier and the final.

August 15, 2005

The 79th annual Hampton Cup Regatta was a scorcher of a weekend for all the competitors in Hampton, Virginia. The Red Hot team raced well even considering that temperatures were approaching 100 degrees all weekend. Mike Webster raced to a third place finish in the final on Sunday. The motor set up was tough with the heat and humidity, but the team is still pleased with a third at the Summer Nationals.

August 08, 2005

The Thunder On The Narrows was a race of attrition this weekend that had the Red Hot team emerge victorious. The weekend was cut short due to weather so the race was decided by Saturdays results. The team is now preparing for the Summer Nationals in Hampton, Virginia August 12-14.

August 01, 2005

The past weekend was a success for the Red Hot racing team, who traveled to Cambridge, Maryland for the 94th annual Cambridge Classic on the Choptank river. At the close of the weekend the Red Hot team was awarded the honor of World Champion in the National Modified class. The team will be traveling to Kent Island, Maryland next weekned and then off to defend our Summer National title in Hampton, Virginia.

July 12, 2005

The Red Hot team traveled to Valleyfield, Quebec. Canada for the Molson Regattes De Valleyfield this past weekend and came home with a 3rd place finish overall. The finish was a dissapointment after winning last year. Changes have been made to correct the technical problems the boat was suffering. The next race is Cambridge, Maryland for the World Championships July 29-31.

June 20, 2005

The racing season got off to a great start at the 2005 NJ State Powerboat Championships. The early season bugs were worked out and the boat was put through the ranks to test out the repairs that were done over the winter. The boat ran quite well and minor adjustments are being made to the hull and motor in preparation for Valleyfield in Quebec, Canada on July 8, 9, and 10.

It has been a long winter for the UL-2 "Red Hot" race team, full of boat repairs and modifications from last racing season. Spring is finally here and the boat is nearing completinon for it season opener at Lake Hopatcong, Nj. on May 21/22. Here are the pictures of the rebuild and paint job over the winter.

February 10, 2005

With the 2005 season fast approaching we are working hard to get the boat ready for the racing circuit. After an altercation in Celina, Ohio last August we have been working diligently to rebuild the sponson. Along the way we have made some additional improvements to make the boat faster. The rebuilding process has slowed our team in its plan to race with the Unlimited Lights this season. That being the case, the National Modified will return to the races after a very successful 2004 racing season, culminating with a National Championship.
